So, on Saturday after class Mom and I went to the public libraryapos;s big book sale and got a bunch of books. Then, we went to the craft store and got some stuff too (it was just good to get my mom out of the house and walking around). When we got home I went to take the stuff upstairs, but I inadertently jammed the edge of this thick paper into my eye. It hurt very very bdly and I thought maybe I cut my eye open. However, I could open my eye, so I went upstairs quickly to see it in the mirror. My eye didnapos;t look cut and it wasnapos;t bleeding, but it looked really red and I freaked out a little, lol. But it seemed okay for the most part pain aside, so I went back out (we had to take the sweeper to the repair shop). In the car I looked in mirror and found that the damage was really toward the edge of my eye, and I saw a little red mark that could have been a cut and redness on the inside of my eye. So, while I didnapos;t want to go to the emergency room (I could open my eye and see out of it, so maybe it wasnapos;t that bad?) I felt I had to get it looked at, so I went to the new clinic that Walgreens opened up. The doctor saw a lot of irritation, but not the mark that I saw (though she didnapos;t really look where I was telling her to) and gave me an antibiotiv ointment to put on it and some pain pills. AND I had to have my eye covered for at least 24 hours, though she didnapos;t have an eyepatch and I had to wear a makeshift one made out of tape and gauze (which looked ridiculous). I spent the rest of Saturday and all day Sunday with it on (and my non injured eye was so tired), but thankfully today it is okay. However, I was very scared over nothing and felt a little humiliated, lol. I wouldnapos;t have minded an eye patch (hooray pirate-time?) but a bootleg one is very embarassing.
